Bibliomania is a free online library of classic literature and reference works. It brings together the complete texts of novels, short stories, poetry, plays and non-fiction, alongside an extensive reference shelf of dictionaries and companions — all free to read in full, with no account and no charge.
The collection has been online, in one form or another, since the late 1990s, and was for many years one of the best known literature sites on the web. Today it is kept as a preservation project: the texts remain freely available, the original page addresses are honoured, and the aim is simply to keep these classic works easy to find and easy to read.
Everything published here is in the public domain. For the copyright status of the texts and how you may use them, see Copyright & Permissions.
