Anemoscope
(A*nem"o*scope) n. [Gr. wind + - scope: cf. F. anémoscope.] An instrument which shows
the direction of the wind; a wind vane; a weathercock; — usually applied to a contrivance consisting of
a vane above, connected in the building with a dial or index with pointers to show the changes of the
wind.

Aneroid barometer, a barometer the action of which depends on the varying pressure of the atmosphere
upon the elastic top of a metallic box (shaped like a watch) from which the air has been exhausted. An
index shows the variation of pressure.
